It's a bit hard to comment on that without a lot to go by, but knowing how Twitter/"X"/"Xwitter" operates I'd say some of that tension between users is artificially created - partially by not properly moderating the place.
I have three bits of advice for you:
1) A good chunk of your "fans" on Twitter will have been "bot" accounts, without any humans behind them. Try not to dwell on whatever numbers you got there.
2) We have a lot of uncool people as well. Try to be lenient.
If you see users act inappropriately you can either use the little [Flag]-button (if there is one) or send a PM to Tom Fulp, the creator of Newgrounds ( https://tomfulp.newgrounds.com/ ).
You can also 'block' users from interacting with you:
https://www.newgrounds.com/account/blocked
3) Your neocities-website is... "an experience". It made me feeling nostalgic. ;) If some of your lost fans visit it, they will probably appreciate a link to your Newgrounds-profile. Ideally next to (or wrapped around) the word "Newgrounds". :)

...And why would you join the right-wing platform Twitter/"X" just for that? ...when you can have the same on Newgrounds?
